Elizabeth Archer, Sculptor

Elizabeth Archer received her B.F.A. and M.F.A. in Sculpture from Boston University School of Visual Arts, where she studied with Harold Tovish and Lloyd Lillie. Previously, she graduated from Wellesley College with a major in Art History and a minor in Studio Art. She has studied painting with Oscar Kokoshchka at the Kokoschka School in Salzburg, Austria and at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in Maine.

Exhibitions include group shows at the Watermark Gallery, Port Clyde, ME; George Sherman Union Gallery, Boston University; the Helen Bumpus Gallery, Duxbury, MA; Viewpoint Gallery, Newport, RI; Boston City Hall; the Brockton Museum, Brockton, MA; and the Allen Rich Gallery, New York, NY. Recent group shows include “Art to Art” at the Brickbottom Gallery; Open Studio Preview Exhibition for Allston-Brighton at the Harvard Business School; Massport Invitational Show; 5th Annual Exhibition at the Honan Allston Branch of the Boston Public Library; and the Danforth Museum Members Invitational Show. She is a regular participant in the Allston-Brighton Open Studios.

During her studies at Boston University, she received an Outstanding Sculptor Award, and she has twice been a finalist in National Sculpture Society competitions.
